How do you define success in life?

First of all, no comparisons with other people at all. It is important to pursue what is meaningful to myself, what makes me really happy and fulfilled, and it is not about career, promotion, etc., but what I can do to myself and the people around me (family, friends, coworkers, clients, people that I know). Success is peace of mind with a bit of fun, happiness, and well-spent time.

What did you want to be when growing up?

I always was a creative person, and since my childhood, I have liked to invent things and discover how machines work. My curiosity always has been my propulsion to learn and act. When I had contact with electronics and computers, I really knew what I wanted to be: an Electronic Engineer (the digital part of electronics).

How do you describe your work personality vs. your home life personality?

I think I am pretty close to the same person in my house, work, and external activities. Always eager to learn, experiment, and be updated (new trend tech or a new bread or food recipe). Regarding people, I think I am very transparent with my family, coworkers, friends, and other people. People usually know my feelings.

What is the best vacation you’ve been to?

The best vacation was the trip my wife and I made to Italy in 2017 for several reasons. First of all, I am an Italian descendant, so I wanted to visit the city where my grand grandfather departed in 1877 (Povo del Grappa) and mainly to get in touch with the country, the Italian culture, gelatos, food, and wine. A marvelous country to visit, even to live in.

someone I admire - a kind of rock star to me

Are you an iPhone or android type of person?

My first smartphone was an iPhone in 2008, and I stayed as an iPhone user for years. I even developed an iOS app for temperature conversion and sponsored three other apps development that were published in the app store. Due to my curiosity to learn something new and be compatible with my car's multimedia central, I changed to an Android phone. I can tell nowadays I am an Android person because I saw interesting innovations in Android before iPhone (like wireless charging, for instance). I also prefer the back function that does not exist in iOS. I can say now I am an Android person, for sure.

Do you have any hobbies, go-to weekend activities, or long-term passion projects you’re working on?

I like to make my own garage wine and bread. I am a fan of natural fermentation and all the processes involved. I also like photography, mirrorless systems, walking, cooking and traveling. Recently I learned how to fly drones, a kind of multi-hobby because it joins photography, filmmaking, and flying.
