This is Roxana Faur. She joined the BetterQA team in the spring. While still studying for her Master's degree in 'Marketing and Advertising' she's been working as an indispensable part of our team as a Marketing Analyst. Recently, she also found her way to the Recruitment department.

Outside of work, she likes to travel around the world, having already visited 35 countries, an incredible feat for people her age. Learn more about Roxana below!

Why did you join BetterQA, and what has kept you here?

I joined BetterQA in an attempt to find a new challenge, so a new career prospect sounded just right! Working both as a Marketing Analyst and Recruiter can be difficult, but the great working environment and lovely colleagues kept me going. In the end, I found the challenge and the workspace I was looking for.

Before working at BetterQA, what was the most unusual or interesting job you've ever had?

Well, I wouldn't call it a job since it happened during my internship days, but it was an experience. A few years ago, I was doing an internship, and one of the projects we had was "Cluj Days" (the yearly celebration of the city I live in). As soon as my friend and I got to the city square to start our day, our manager told us we had to lead the parade that marched through the city center. That meant we had to be the first two people you would see in the parade, trying to lead the way and get everyone in sync. All I can say is that it was pretty stressful, but also exciting!

What do you find the most challenging and what do you like most about BQA?

The most challenging thing I find here has to do with the recruitment process. Finding the right candidate for a specific position is tedious work, but nothing that can't be managed. What I like the most about working here is the daily interactions with the team. It is a pleasure! The knowledge, talent, and support are second to none.

What advice do you have for prospective BetterQA candidates?

Well, what got me here is taking on new challenges, so definitely don't be afraid to do that! I would say that it's always important to be confident in your achievements. At the end of the day, it's what makes the difference!

What would you do (for a career) if you weren't doing this?

I'd probably like to explore the world of event planning as I've spent a lot of time organizing and getting involved in local events during college.

How do you spend your time outside of the office?

It really depends on the season. Usually, I like to do anything involving travelling or snowboarding. If the weather is not in my favour, I usually hang out with my friends to play video games, do puzzles, or, why not, take on a DIY project.

What's a fun fact about you many people may not know?

I have travelled to approximately 35 countries around four continents in the last eight years.

Where's your favorite place in the world?

Tough question, but probably The Netherlands. Why the Netherlands, you ask? Primarily because of their culture and values. The Dutch are known for their egalitarian and modern approach, and my values align with theirs.

If given a chance, who would you like to be for a day?

I am not sure, I never imagined being someone else.

What's the weirdest fact you know?

Did you know that there are only 25 blimps in the world?
