How has Wolfpack Digital helped you in your career development?

Career development really is one of Wolfpack Digital's best perks. Ever since I joined the company, we've had valuable conversations about what I'd like to do and how they can aid me. My role as an iOS developer was shaped to integrate my interests and I had the opportunity to work on very exciting projects.

Now, I can also help my colleagues in their journey, as a mentor.

Are you an iPhone or android type of person?

iPhone ✨

It definitely helps with iOS development! Maybe I would've had an android if I was an android developer, who knows?

What did you want to be when growing up?

When I was around 13 years old, I wanted to become a fashion designer, because I loved to draw 🤷🏼‍♀️ My sketches seemed incredible at the time 😂

Becoming a developer was a more mature decision, I took it when I started high school and I'm thankful to my younger self for choosing this path!

How did you first learn about Wolfpack Digital?

They've messaged me at one point but I wasn't interested in a career change at the time. After a while, I kept seeing their social media posts and I absolutely loved how fresh, young and inspiring their culture seemed so I followed back with a message. Imagine how thrilled I was after I joined them, to see that life beats the pictures!

If there's a conclusion to this: social media marketing does make a difference, it can attract the right people for your organisation or just enable you to share a small part of the company culture.

What are your primary responsibilities and what does your day-to-day look like?

As a Senior iOS developer, my primary responsibilities are estimating, designing, implementing and maintaining iOS apps. We work in Scrum teams and this implies communicating with team members on a daily basis. We really are a pack in this sense, in order to successfully deliver a project, we all help each other and contribute with everything we can. The 'start-to-end' in our motto implies every department (sales, design, development, QA, etc.) has input and influences the end result. Because of this, besides the main responsibilities, teamwork and creativity come into place.

During a regular day, these are some of my activities:

- Attending the daily standup

- Discussions with team members and deciding on the day's focus and priorities

- App Development

- Helping colleagues with code reviews / requesting code reviews

If you were an animal what would you be?

A cat, for sure! But an indoor, spoiled one 😂

I love cats and have one, Oscar, and I often ask myself: oh boy, wouldn't it be nice to be like him? Just relax all day, eat, sleep, stay by the window and watch cars and people passing by. And after that, I realise it might also be kind of boring 🤔

But, if there's anything to learn from cats, it would be: keep your values, take care of yourself, make sure you relax at the end of the day and just enjoy the small things in life.
