Meet Luka and see what PROTOTYP is about below.
AT PROTOTYP, each day is different. When I joined, I spent my day on client work. But how time flies. Now, I take more and more responsibilities regarding internal processes.
My day starts with a short check of work, defining priorities, checking emails, and clients' comments on the projects. Around 10 am, we have our design daily, checking if there are some blockers or if someone from the team need help that day.
Coffee time, an important part of life for every person. After the coffee is ready I usually start digging into projects. If I have more than one, I split the day to have enough time for each project (between 2-3h for each project).
As I have kids, my daily routine is to take a longer break around 2 pm and spend some quality time with them (until my wife takes over).
Back to work around 3-3:30 pm when we as the design team have our internal hour. You know how hard is to have dedicated time for internal stuff? That's why we organize our work to have that 1h/day only for our stuff.
As you can see, it's hard to work from 8 am - 4 pm with distractions throughout the day, but I usually finish my working day somewhere between 5:30- 6:30 pm with around 6h of productive work under my belt.
First, we love creating products. If you have any interest in making this world better, a first good step would be to join our team!
Second, we're one big family, taking care of each other, helping outside of job when it's needed, etc. So, if you like to be a team player, that's a big advantage.
Third, thirsty! You don't need to be a top-class person with an amazing portfolio, but you need to have a desire to learn every day, to see progress, to challenge your ideas with other team members. You need to be a person who will push the team forward.
Fourth. Smart-working! The idea is not to work 9, 10, or more hours through a day, but to work smarter and still finish your daily tasks. That's on you, but we will help you to get there.
Fifty. Party! Yes, we have parties, we like to hang out together, team buildings, pizza&beer evenings, spontaneous gatherings, you name it.
If I need to make a list it should be like this:
Usually with my family, but I also have a nice hobby, homebrewing. It's totally outside of my design world, but still, I'm designing beers. As a person who spens most of the day in front of a screen, brewing takes my mind of the work day and makes me relaxed.
It's just a good feeling when you create something with your hand, with a different set of skills, and people love it.
When designing a product that is connected with the beer world :D A little joke. When I enjoy time with my family.
Lego, Nintendo, Sports freak! I love to spent time with my friends playing football, basketball, or handball, and also playing with Lego/Nintendo when the weather was bad.
Hm, It's hard to think of what that would...
