Introducing Pedro Vieira, our Lead Engineer!

Pedro is passionate about technology. He has over 10 years of experience in building web applications and is an excellent developer. But, today we will share the person behind the computer.

Why did you join Particle Forward and what has kept you there?

I’ve always worked with internal projects and products and was looking for a way to start working in software consulting. At Particle Forward, I met a wonderful, transparent and focused team that embraces new challenges just like me.

What are the unique challenges of your role and how do you overcome them?

Communication is always a big challenge in any role, specially in a technical remote position, which is why having a truly transparent team makes a difference. By being honest about your work and opinion, everyone can make a difference and know they can count on you.

What is your most memorable moment at Particle Forward?

Every social event has its own memorable moment, whether it’s a completely new life experience or witnessing the birth of a new karaoke star or a new artist.

How do you spend your time out of work hours?

Playing PC and board games with friends, watching series, movies, animes, looking for new places to visit and staying healthy.

When I’m surrounded by nature and/or people I love.

• The first time I went to a Formula 1 Grand Prix at Interlagos.
• New Year with friends.
• When I moved abroad.

If given a chance, who would you like to be for a day?

Any racing driver, so I could experience a real-life racing without motion sickness.

If you could witness a historical event, what would it be?

I am happy to have experienced a good period of technological development and to have contributed in some way, but I would have liked to have witnessed the first computers.
