Unpacking the life of a powerhouse woman in tech
The soul of Pangea.ai’s brand is making human connections. Our tech partners continue to build and strengthen our community’s DNA. We are very proud to have Neurons Lab as part of our circle, whose unique individuals now inspire and empower all of our team members.
Time to meet the Head of Business Development, Partner at Neurons Lab, Lilia!
Do you have any hobbies, go-to weekend activities, or long-term passion projects you’re working on?
One of the reasons why I love my job is the opportunity to work remotely, which reveals some extra time for my work-life balance.
Whenever my work is done, and the laptop can be shut off, I grab my bicycle and go for a ride. Oh yeah, sometimes it's a bicycle, sometimes it's a motorcycle or car. But based on that, you can see that I love traveling, discovering new beautiful places, and yeah, meeting new people. Sometimes such an active lifestyle requires spending some cozy time, and that's why I love doing yoga a lot.

Lilia Udovychenko
Do you have an office nickname? What is it?
“LilOk.”
Ha, it's because I see life and any obstacles it gives me in the spot of positive way of thinking. Even in case of any difficulties, "I can say It's ok, I will go through it".
Sometimes life brings unexpected and even hard experiences, but it's important to stay focused on positive and remember that there is always light after darkness.
What are your primary responsibilities and what does your day-to-day look like?
My usual working day starts with a cup of coffee. No coffee - no further step. It's a must-have simply because I love it.
Then I start by emptying my email box and answering my clients. Since I'm responsible for launching projects, I must take an active part all along the lifecycle of the product development that I take part in.
After that, I open my slack and give feedback to my teammates. It's great that we have switched to asynchronous communications with set of rules and markers which give me an understanding of which messages are the priority. That makes it easier to navigate and takes off unnecessary stress.
Strategizing and checking on the key results from our OKRs is an important part of my daily routine.
Not to mention status meetings which, yeah, we still have a few given that we follow an asynchronous way of communication. Being fully remote and working with a cross-cultural team, requires some live interaction in the form of sycnhnoronus meetings. That's why they are a part of my job.
What drew you to business development? Have you always worked in management roles?
That's the question to which I love to respond.
Do you know why?
Because I'm absolutely and fully in love with what I do.
I'll tell you what exactly.
First: I love my clients who come from the USA, Europe, and the GCC. They are extremely smart, entrepreneurial, and risk-taking. I always learn a thing or two from them.
Second: I love projects which I launch. They are disruptive, innovative, and meaningful.
Third: I love my team. They are extremely talented, smart, and result-driven.

Driving Sales
Before working at Neuron Labs, what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had?
Who am I not to mention my personal project?
It's the top and biggest IT Sales conference in Ukraine, "Driving Sales".
It's very special to me, my team, and the participants because it has grown into a community of people who make tickets sell out in just a while after we launch sales, who always come and always again ever since they've visited their first event, who help create a very warm and cozy, at the same time super driving atmosphere at the conference.
If given a chance, who would you like to be for a day?
I would never change being me for anything in this world.
But if I could, I would travel back in time to the small me being aged 8 or 10. And I'd say to this small Lilly that even now, she doesn't realize, but she is so much on her right way that she can't even imagine. Everything she is doing, dreaming, taking risks, learning, and traveling, leads her to the right decisions and moments.
I would only encourage her and say that she rocks.
