Time to meet the Head of Engineering at Neurons Lab, Artem!

What are your primary responsibilities and what does your day-to-day look like?

I have several responsibilities in the company. I lead the partnership development process with public cloud provider AWS. I build a strong team of engineers with different skills and help them with career progression.

I build a Solution Architect team and lead the development process for accelerators that help speed up the development process and improve the quality of services.

What drew you to engineering? Have you always worked in leadership roles?

When I joined Neurons Lab, Head of Engineering was a new role for me.

I worked as Solution Architect before joining Neurons Lab. That is challenging and inspiring for me. New business line development, solution and product development, and team creation are what drew me to the position.

Neurons Lab grows pretty fast, and I like to see quick work results. During the year of work, I have built an advanced partnership with AWS. Now we have a Solution Architect team, reusable offerings for customers, new capabilities, etc. I like to see such results.

Do you have any hobbies, go-to weekend activities, or long-term passion projects you’re working on?

I have recently finished the improvisation course and participated in Stand Up comedian show. That was a stretching and challenging goal for me. Also, I like snowboarding in winter and different water activities in summer. I like to meet my friend on the weekend and participate in different events that happen in my city.

Are you an iPhone or android type of person?

I used Android several years ago. But when I bought my first iPhone, that was an awesome improvement. I like its reliability, durability, and awesome design :)

It is my third iPhone, and the last two still work well for my family. Usually, I have used iPhone for 2+ years, so I am not buying it every year and don't want to have the latest one.

What do you find to be the most exciting aspect of Neuron Labs?

The most exciting in Neurons Lab is the people that work there. They are the most interesting people that I have ever worked with. They are super professional, and I can rely on them.

Also, the team has diversified skills, so every individual compliments each other. I like when we brainstorm ideas and generate ideas that I have never found by myself.

What’s your next step, or a few goals you’d like to accomplish in life, or while with Neuron Labs?

I plan to travel significantly more next year. I want to meet new people and try new things. I have to enjoy my life.

Also, I am reading books. Not as many as I want to, but I would like to improve myself here.

From a professional perspective, my goal is to build a strong team and strong business. I want to improve my delegation skills and rely more on my teammates.
