Time to meet the JavaScript Developer at Montecha, Nikola!
I recognised a great opportunity for career and personal growth here at Montecha and I took it. What kept me here is exactly that. The work I do is fun, I learn a lot every day, I get to apply what I learn on interesting projects.
Pretending I'm doing Something Smart...
My favourite project has been Plate Layout, a web application that allows scientists to set up lab experiments from their own machines without having to enter their labs. Learned a bunch of new technologies and practices with this project.
It's gotta be Bytes. Helps me stay up to date with the latest news and technologies in the industry. It's also fun to read.
I love playing the guitar, listening and discovering a bunch of weird music. Currently learning everything I can about Neutral Milk Hotel. Sometimes I watch a TV shows when I find a good one.
The Gang
I had to research, implement and write a blog post about a new technology for which there weren't a lot of resources available, had to figure out a lot by myself. I really pushed myself to do this right. This particular task helped me grow a lot as a developer, I remember it every time I get stuck on something.
Knowing what makes you happy and actually doing the stuff which makes you happy, and also having people around you with whom you can share your happiness.
