Time to meet the Project Manager at Marble IT, Danijela!

What are your primary responsibilities and what does your day-to-day look like?

As a project manager, my responsibilities include the most diverse areas: communication, scope, time, cost, human resources, risk procurement, and stakeholder management.

Of all these responsibilities, I would single out communication as the most important.

Planning everything from execution to delivery is a responsibility that takes up most of my day, and that often involves a lot of meetings, both with clients and team members.

Occasionally I find the time to do something creative, like writing a blog or suggesting a something new to the management.

What did you want to be when growing up?

Ever since I was in elementary school, I wanted to be a lawyer, and that was the case until I did an internship in my third year of college. During my internship, I saw what judiciary system looks like in reality - I imagined it as something much more formal.

I was also attracted to medicine, especially cardiothoracic and neurological surgery, however, law was always a bit more interesting to me.

What are your favourite travel destination? What is the best vacation you’ve been to?

I am thrilled all over again each time I take vacations by the sea, and I would choose it as my favourite regardless of the destination.

As for the cities that left the biggest impression on me, I would single out Paris and Bruges. Paris maybe sounds like a cliché, but it's such a magnificent city that I could visit it once a year.

What is the favourite part about working for Marble IT?

I believe this is a quite common answer, but definitely people.

Although we are oriented so that you can choose whether to work from the office or remotely, my colleagues are the reason why I am in the office every day. Not a single day in the office was boring for me.

Although I work with the most different types of people, I think that everyone has the same goal at work: to get the job done as best it can and to have fun along the way.

Before working at Marble IT, what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had?

Before I started my career in IT, I worked in the fashion industry. I worked as a visual merchandiser, where my main responsibilities were to take care of the appearance of the entire store, determine how the windows will look, choose new collections and prepare sales reports.

In the last two years, in addition to my regular job as a project manager, I've also been working part-time on arranging shop windows.

What do you find the most challenging at Marble IT?

The most difficult aspect of this job is managing several projects at the same time. But despite how challenging it is, it is also exciting. We collaborate with various clients, which is what makes this job interesting in addition to working with different technologies. Combining people with diverse skills and personalities increases the possibility that they will offer an unique experience to the project.
