Meet Žiga, our positivity bundle and all around talent - he mostly focuses on back-end development, but doesn't shy away from jumping into a project management role or mentoring fellow teammates. In the past 2 years he has grown with HiGroup and plays a crucial part in our success story.

Why did you join HiGroup, and what has kept you here?

Joining HiGroup was probably one of the best decisions I have ever made. It all started two years ago when I applied for the backend developer position there. At the time my programming skills were in a need of a lot of love and nurturing. Yet the guys were inclined to give me a shot of proving myself.

From the very beginning, they were nothing but supportive. They played a crucial role in the growth I have experienced on both, personal and professional levels. I always had the feeling that I am a part of the story we are building together. This combined with continuously seeing our team evolve and grow made it easy for me to put in all the hours and effort required to complete our goals.

Short weekend escape with the team

What are 3 words to describe HiGroup?

Speed, knowledge, adaptivity.

If you could switch your job with anyone else within HiGroup, whose job would you want?

Mhm, maybe I would like to try switching jobs with… ;)

Before working at HiGroup, what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had?

Before joining HiGroup I was a part-time tourist guide and part-time nightclub bartender. I really loved both of those and I think that I acquired a lot of very valuable skills in that period. P:S. they were both very fun, what's not to love about that ;)

When are you the happiest?

That's easy, being around and working with people who share the same passion and vision is priceless.

Do you have any hobbies, go-to weekend activities, or long-term passion projects you’re working on?

I love short weekend trips, exploring nearby cities and neighbouring countries is definitely something that brings me a lot of joy. I also really enjoy picnics, hiking and sometimes just doing a lot of nothing (it's really fun).

If you were stuck on an island what three things would you bring?

Probably a fishing rod, a deckchair and some cold beer. Might as well enjoy the time that I have left.

What is your favourite item on your office desk?

Definitely my set of cactuses. The thing I love the most about them is that they bring a touch of nature and greenery to my workspace.

What's your motto or personal mantra?

Don't worry, be happy :)

The little garden of Eden
