Time to meet the Product Manager and VP at DVC Solutions, Branko!

How has DVC Solutions helped you in your career development?

For sure. When I joined the company we agreed that I will be acting as a Business Developer. At that time the IT community in Banja Luka had almost no one working as a Business Developer, that role didn't exist. So we were pioneers in that field.

After a while this role is not widespread in almost every IT company in town and when everyone is just starting with that concept we are already quite experienced with it. It just shows how proactive and innovative company is, how it provides its employees to develop personally.

What has been your favorite project at DVC Solutions?

We worked on a health and fitness app for a startup from Germany. They produced an EMS suit, a suit that helps you to multiply the effect of a single workout. With that suit on the effect of the workout is 3 times higher comparing the workout without the suit. It has electrodes inside that stimulate your muscles achieving therefore this multiplication.

We made an app that provides users with the ability to control the suit, intensity of the electrodes, and to watch video material that is being served via our apps. It was so interesting, making proof of concept, handling some hardware vs software issues, testing it all especially :)

What are 3 words to describe DVC Solutions?

Friendship, hard work, flexibility.

Why did you join DVC Solutions, and what has kept you here?

I liked the idea CEO presented to me. He was full of motivation, had a clear vision/strategy, and he already gathered around a team of very skillful and motivated young people.

So I simply wanted to join a board cause it was very attractive. This consistency kept me here, constantly searching for new things and striving to be better in all fields, to be in front of others.

How do you spend your time outside of the office?

I live with my wife and a 3-year-old daugther. So most of the time I spent with two of them, we are having a great time together and I enjoy that the most.

Besides, I play basketball often, during the summer I play on few 3x3 tournaments and during the winter/spring I play for one local basketball club, this is some kind of a relaxation instrument for me, to make balance between my head and my body :)

How do you describe your work personality vs. your home life personality?

I try to keep it all the same.

By nature I am very communicative and usually the one who opens new topics, new conversations. That is what I am trying to do in my company also, challenging people's ideas, opening new discussion topics that would affect our regular views and standing points. I believe this is a very effective instrument to ensure the continuity of our personal progress, to move outside the comfort zone.
