Making human connections is part of the Pangea.ai brand DNA; the soul of our brand being our tech partners. We are very proud to have Despark as part of our community, whose unique individuals inspire and empower the rest of our teams.

Time to meet the Marketing Specialist at Despark, Nadezhda!

Why did you join Despark, and what has kept you here?

I joined Despark about 11 months ago. I was looking for a place where I will have more freedom to unleash my creativity and do some challenging work that can help me grow both as a person and as a professional. I can safely say I found what I was looking for and so much more in Despark.

I found people that truly inspire me and give me a different perspective on my work - designers, developers, project managers and everyone else have always had my back and I am so happy I get to work with all of them so closely. The team is what really makes a difference for me.

If you could switch your job with anyone else within Despark, whose job would you want?

I've thought about this many times. I am very curious to see what a normal day of a Product owner looks like. I think a lot of what I do - thinking about potential customers, researching how they behave, what needs they have and how we can bring value - is very similar to what a product owner does.

Of course, as a product owner you need to get down to the details of how users behave and what might stop them from using your product and I think the psychological aspect of it is very interesting. Who knows, maybe we can do a role-shadowing some time in the office and each of us could get a glimpse of someone else's day-to-day. I think we can all benefit from it.

Do you have any hobbies, go-to weekend activities, or long-term passion projects you’re working on?

I like to spend my free time out in the open, be in the mountains or near the seaside. My work requires a lot of focused time and I like to balance it out with enjoying time in the nature.

One of my biggest passions is doing yoga. There is nothing else that makes me feel so alive and so calm at the same time. I try to begin my day with a short 10-15 minute yoga practice at home (although I don't always wake up on time for it) and I go to yoga classes 2-3 times a week.

If I'm not in the yoga studio, you can probably find me having a nice cup of coffee in the park. :)

Me in my element

How do you describe your work personality vs. your home life personality?

There are two Nadya's living inside of me :D . My work personality is definitely much more balanced and calm, always looking for the most pragmatic solution out there. The Nadya that lives at home likes to be in her own organized chaos. I get bored easily and I like to start new things. Sometimes that means baking muffins at 10 pm, other times it's me reordering the entire apartment just to see how it looks like.

What's your favorite quote, or motto?

"Einmal is keinmal. History is as light as individual human life, unbearably light, light as a feather, as dust swirling into the air, as whatever will no longer exist tomorrow."

It is a quote from one of my favorite books of all time - 'The Unbearable Lightness of being" by Milan Kundera. It is a book about living in a totalitarian state and trying to find your individuality in a conformist society. It is also a beautiful love story between two lost souls.

If you could witness any historical event, what would you want to see?

The destruction of the Berlin wall. There's something so powerful and liberating in all the photos that I see from that day. It's the hope in people's eyes for a brighter tomorrow that always sparks joy in me. My name also means 'hope' in Bulgarian and I think no recent historical event has ever felt more hopeful than this one for me.

A historical moment
