More than fifteen years after it was founded, Clearview's philosophy is still going strong: We’re a remote-first, distributed software company with our team members spread across four continents. We specialize in partnering up for the long haul -- so we seek ongoing partnerships that lead to a deep understanding of your business domain and mutual, shared growth. We’re stack-agnostic — we can build a team for and/or adapt to any new tech. We see business as a vehicle for personal growth. We encourage and trust our team members to self-manage, promoting autonomy and innovation.

Time to meet the Senior Software Engineer at Clearview, Deniel!

Why did you join Clearview, and what has kept you here?

I rejoined Clearview after left the company for a year. I decided to join back Clearview because working here I have the time flexibility. As a father of 2, it is a little bit hard to manage the time between work and family while both of them are at home most of the team due too Covid. So with the time flexibility I can manage my own working hours, with consideration to have time overlap with the team. That's is the best benefits working here

What have you gained from working at Clearview?

Lucky me, I am working alongside with the same team mate for all my projects here in Clearview. It is a good thing for me because the working style we both have are in sync, and I learn many things from him. I learned communication style, and we have a lot of discussion regarding technical implementation.

If you were to write a self-help book, what would the topic be?

Time management to be productive for a dad working from home, without having to work at night. Yeah that's very specific.

How do you spend your time outside of the office?

Gardening, I really enjoy it. I just built a small greenhouse. I use it for microgreens and also some vegetables

Me and my son

Before working at Clearview, what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had?

I was librarian when I was in a college. It was a part time job, but I didn't really read at that time. during the job interview, the head of library asked me, how many times I usually come to the library in a week. I said quite often. I faked the answer, while I just came to the library once. But turned out, I did really a great job.

Are you an iPhone or android type of person?

I was an iPhone person, but converted to android. It has been 3 years with Android. I was thinking using iphone was really useful because of the environment. But I am happy with Android now.
