The soul of’s brand is making human connections. Our tech partners continue to build and strengthen our community’s DNA. We are very proud to have CI&T as part of our circle, whose unique individuals now inspire and empower all of our team members.

Time to meet the Executive Manager at CI&T, Marcelo!

Why did you join CI&T, and what has kept you here?

I joined the company due to opportunities to work with customers abroad, I'm here for more than 16 years, my personal values align with the company values, I see a clear career path and plenty of opportunities to learn and grow, I also believe there are great and intelligent people in the organization from whom we can learn from, those are the main reasons I'm within the company and plan to stay.

That's me in a black and white photo, enjoying a day working from home.

Before working at CI&T, what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had?

My mother had a store at the mall, a toys store, I worked for a few years helping her with the family business, I worked mostly as an attendant when I was a teenager, this experience was an interesting one, I learned how to deal with the customers (unhappy ones, happy ones, indecisive, mad, the ones with budgetary restrictions and so on)

What are your primary responsibilities and what does your day-to-day look like?

My role is an executive manager, I'm mostly focused on operations and client relationship, my day to day is to support the teams to make sure they are able to deliver wonderful solutions and experience to our customers and also to assure that our teams are engaged, motivated and challenged, I'm also a trusted advisor to our customers, helping them to take educated decisions regarding technology and product related matters.

If you had to eat one meal, every day for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Rice, black beans, lettuce salad and a steak, this is a very typical day to day food we have in various places in Brazil. If I do not have rice, beans, salad and steak for a while my body misses it, and in the other hand if I have it every day I do not get sick of it. This is also a balanced nutrition meal.

That's me and some of my colleagues for a gathering at the office.

What advice do you have for prospective CI&T candidates?

I really enjoy interviewing new candidates, make sure they feel comfortable during the process, and also, even if they are not a match for a specific position, that we both learn something throughout the talent attraction process. An advice I'll always give is to have a growth mindset (for them to believe their intelligence and talents can be improved through continuous learning, everyone is capable if they are disciplined and have a goal to be met)

When are you the happiest?

I tend to be happy at any place or situation where I'm able to be myself, being that in the work place, with families and friends or with customers and partners, I'm an extrovert, I like to have fun and even in difficult or stressful situations I try to enjoy the ride, learn from that, and thrive to make people feel as confortable as possible in such situations.
