Time to meet the UX/UI Designer at Bild Studio, Nikola!
What do you find to be the most exciting aspect of Bild Studio?
When I think about the most exciting aspects of Bild Studio, the first thing which comes to mind are the people. You can't really have a great company without a good and diverse environment. Bild Studio is comprised of people with different beliefs, educational backgrounds, nationalities, etc. but everyone finds their place and feels welcomed. There's always someone you can learn from or share ideas with and I think that's not something you can't come across so easily.
Another great aspect is the variety of projects you get to work on. There is always something new and exciting you get to be a part of. And with each new project and opportunity, you gain a great experience and you learn and grow as a professional but also as an individual.

What are your primary responsibilities and what does your day-to-day look like?
My primary responsibilities consist of doing research, sketching different ideas, working on prototypes, and creating the visual design. I also work with product owners, project managers, and the development team in helping define product strategy and requirements. I constanty communicate with the development team, resolving any questions, fulfilling additional requirements, and ensuring consistency across all platforms after design hand-off.
Most of my days usually consist of a morning stand up with the rest of design team, after which I'm usually deep in Figma solving world design mysteries one feature at a time.
What is your favorite part of the UX/UI design process?
Honestly, I don't have a favorite part. I really enjoy the entire process of creating something from just an idea, through gaininig insight about it, sketching it on paper to making it into a final product. It's a very rewarding experience, knowing that a product you've designed can potentially bring value to someone, have a positive impact on their daily life and help them accomplish something, even if it's a small thing.
Before working at Bild Studio, what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had?
While studying at university, I was able to spend two summers working as a lifeguard in the U.S. It was a very interesting job, with a lot of responsibilities but also many fun experiences. One of the most memorable aspects of that job was teaching kids how to swim and seeing them later in the pool showing off their new skills. It was very gratifying!
How do you define success in life?
There's many different answers to this, depending on what you prioritize in life, but I believe that the only true success in life happens when someone's able to find content within themselves, with who they are and what they're doing. I think everything else you want will follow after that.
What's your favorite quote, or motto?
"People will never be replaced by machines. In the end, life and business are about human connections. And computers are about trying to murder you in a lake. And to me the choice is easy." - Michael Scott
It had to be one of the many funny quotes from The Office. Might be a cliché but it's my favorite TV show.
