What kept me here, the story of Kateryna Gorlai

ASD team service delivery philosophy is built around development experience, synchronized processes, and full project involvement. Comprehension of the project tech details by all team members involved, knowledge sharing, and high level of personal responsibility allow us to address the project as a whole. That is what distinguishes us from other IT service companies: we do not sell our developers. We dive into the client's idea realization, and work hard on the successful result by the whole team - developers, PM, BA, and QA. We put the project, client, and end value of the product in the first place.

Why did you join Advanced Software Development, and what has kept you here?

I would say that people kept me here. Because it is a real pleasure to work with those who has save values and work as a team to reach the goal

Discovering new places

What do you find to be the most exciting aspect of Advanced Software Development?

To experiment. The management of the company are very open minded and support initiatives. I really appreciate possibilities to learn and try new things. Sometimes it may fail and sometimes be really successful, but I may always rely on the support and honest feedback without criticism.

How do you spend your time outside of the office?

My biggest passion is traveling. It opens so many new things and let you see the life of people of different mentalities and culture. It inspires me for trying something new and keep growing and developing new skills

If you were stuck on an island what three things would you bring?

They will be: a book, a knife and a rope. From my perspective these three things will help me to survive and don't lose my mind.

When are you the happiest?

When I see other people happy and know that I have participated somehow in it. When there are visible results of my work and it brings value to other people.

What are your primary responsibilities and what does your day-to-day look like?

Setting up company goals and developing strategy toward achieving them together with the team. Work optimisation with heads of different departments, setting up processes and metrics, analyzing the effectiveness of processes.
