Unpacking the life of Krisztina Tahy, Head of Finance & Administrative Operations at Pangea

Now it’s time to meet Krisztina, finance and administrative whiz and kitesurfing addict! As a digital nomad, Kristina is frequently on the move but still manages to keep everything running smoothly in the company. What is your role at Pangea.ai?

Head of Finance & Administrative Operations. I handle the company’s payments and make sure that all contracts and legal documents are drafted and distributed correctly.

Why did you join Pangea.ai, and what has kept you here?

I joined Pangea because I had never seen a company before that built and maintained such a strong bond in the team, despite working together remotely. It feels great to have the freedom to work anywhere but still feel part of a great team!

What has been your favorite project at Pangea.ai?

I had the opportunity to work with our Head of Platform, Annika Magnusson, on our internal automated workflows. I really enjoyed learning about all these techniques and by now I am setting up my own automation procedures!

How do you spend your time outside of the office?

I travel as a digital nomad and kitesurf. I started kitesurfing two years ago, and it became one of the main focuses of my private life and free time. It is a very addictive sport as, within a short period, one can get to do jumps and tricks. There are always new things to learn and practice.

How do you describe your work personality vs. your home life personality?

Well, home life and work life is mixed when you work remotely, and I believe these two personalities are very similar in my case. I am reliable, cheerful, sincere, and happy to connect with people.

What is the best vacation you’ve been to?

Working for Pangea, I created a life where I do not have to separate vacations and everyday life. I can work and enjoy life at the beach at the same time if I wish to!

What's your motto or personal mantra?

I try to celebrate and enjoy every single day in my life. I am not a fan of birthdays or any special occasions. I think it is much more essential to make the best out of each 365 days of my year rather than focus on a single, memorable event. I choose to be happy every day!

How do you see the role of women evolving in the world of technology?

I see no difference in women’s ability and that of men in technology or any field that does not require physical power, where men’s advantage is unquestionable. That is why I’m happy to see more and more women achieving positions of power and responsibility! I don’t think Pangea would be able to function without us women.

What are you doing to celebrate International Women’s Day?

While I’m not doing anything special, I will definitely open a bottle of sparkling wine later for all fellow women in the tech industry!
